Finding authoritative sites that’ll link back to your pages can be difficult. Keyword research is still useful when trying to decide on the most interesting topics for your audience. Keywords can still be part of your content, provided that they are added in context and at the right balance. There’s no need to sacrifice the quality of your content to include more keywords, as keyword stuffing can lead to the opposite of the result you want. If you find that your backlinks are mainly coming from a small pool of domains, look at a way to diversify your backlink strategy to get links from a greater variety of domains. Site speed, from the front end to the back end, is an often overlooked area of web development that also has SEO implications.

How are you supposed to do this?

As Google continues to prioritize the user experience in its algorithm, this data can become critical. It’s one thing to provide a list of items that generally lead to a better user experience (like we did above), but it’s another thing completely to be able to address extremely specific elements of that experience. The traffic information from different search engines helps you make timely changes in the semantic core, and allocate budget and efforts to promote the significant keywords only. Now's the time for any local business to raise its game. Search drives the web -- roughly two-thirds of website visitors originate from organic search.

Can I Just Write Naturally and Rank High in Google?

Since search engines focus more on the initial words of the titles, make sure you add your keywords at the start of your title tag – this will help you rank better. The search engines will act rapidly to penalize sites that contain viruses or trojans. Your competitors may be investing more in their own SEO campaigns, outperforming you in the process. URLs with words that are relevant to your site's content and structure are friendlier for visitors navigating your site. Visitors remember them better and might be more willing to link to them.

High authority links are great, but in my opinion, relevant links win the game every time. Think of yourself as an asset portfolio manager, because that’s what you are. In the same way fund managers need to analyze company financial data and operational performance before making investment decisions, you need to analyze your SEO competitors to inform your investment decisions. If Google and the rest of the search engines trust you and they respect the content you produce, you’ll climb the search rankings. There’s no shortcut to ranking on the first few pages of the search results. Search engines don’t trust your website at first. You have to earn their trust – and it’s a slow process. Does Blog commenting play a vital role in SEO?

Whenever I speak to people about SEO, the number one question that I get asked is, “What’s the most important factor to rank number one in Google?” The bottom line is that if you’re focusing on a small group of generic keywords, you’re probably not being found by most of the people who are searching for you. With website analytics, you can hone in on your audience, identifying things like their interests, demographics, language, locations and behaviors. Understanding these elements can help you improve your website content. A small dip in search traffic is no immediate cause for concern (it may just be a temporary drop in consumer interest); but if that dip lasts for more than a few weeks or turns into a more significant drop, you’ll need to troubleshoot the problem to see what’s going on.
